The test is designed to assess neural conduction in the visual, auditory, and sensory pathways and all 3 pathways are assessed in the MSC. The test is important in the process of diagnosing multiple sclerosis as well as in assessing the severity of an attack and monitoring recovery progress. The test is non-invasive or painful, is performed with external electrodes and takes about 45 minutes to complete.
