A neuro-ophthalmologist is a specialized ophthalmologist who handles neurological impairments pertaining to the optic nerve and eye movements. The neuro-ophthalmologist will evaluate the patient's visual acuity, color vision, visual fields, and eye movements to check for signs of abnormal function, which could be an indication of optic neuritis or other visual disturbances related to MS.
